How do I register for a GRS online auction?
To register, download the GRS Auctions app or visit the website, create an account or log in, find the auction you are interested in, and follow the registration instructions provided. You will need to provide payment information with a current credit card and agree to the auction's terms and conditions. What is a buyer’s premium?
Buyer’s Premium (BP) is a term commonly used in the auction industry to describe an additional fee or percentage that buyers must pay on top of the final hammer price of an item. It’s a surcharge, typically expressed as a percentage of the hammer price. Ensure you are aware of any buyer’s premium and how it will affect your final payment.
Can I participate in an auction from my mobile device?
Yes, GRS Auctions is mobile-friendly, and you can participate in auctions using app or through a mobile browser. Just Tap! Bid! Win! Visit Google Play or the Apple App Store to download GRS Auctions Free app. Click below to download.
Can I inspect items before bidding?
Yes, and we encourage inspecting items prior to bidding. GRS Auctions provides an option for previewing items before bidding. Check the auction details by clicking on the “i” (when on mobile) or “auction details” (when on a laptop) find out when and how you can preview the items. If you can’t make a preview date, you can call for additional information or schedule a Facetime review with our preview host during schedule preview times.
How do I place a bid?
After registering for an auction, navigate to the item you wish to bid on, enter your bid amount, and submit your bid. GRS Auctions also offers maximum bidding, where you set your highest willing bid, and the platform will automatically bid on your behalf up to that amount.
Can I retract a bid?
Bids on GRS Auctions are generally binding, and bid retraction is typically not allowed. It is important to be certain before placing a bid. If you make an error, contact us immediately to see if we can assist. If the auction is ending and in the process of closing, bids may not be removed.
How do I know if I have won an item?
If you are using the GRS App, you will see a green bar with the words * You Won *. Winning bidders also receive a notification from GRS Auctions & Liquidations when the auction ends. You can also check the status of your bids in your account. After the auction ends, winning bidders will receive an email from GRS Auctions with your final invoice.
How does payment work?
To bid with GRS Auctions, you will need to provide a valid credit card, and your card will be charged for the winning bids plus any applicable buyer’s premium and taxes. Double check the auction terms and conditions for specific payment details for the auction you are interested in. Credit cards are typically billed by 10:00 am the day following the auction, unless the otherwise specified in the auction terms and conditions.
Where & when do I pick up my items?
Auction pick-up details are published with each auction along with dates and any special instructions. To find information about where & when pickup dates are, check the auction details by clicking on the “i” (when on mobile) or “auction details” (when on a laptop). Ensure you can collect your items in the specified time frame. If you cannot come during these times, please do not bid.
Does GRS Auctions offer shipping?
Shipping availability depends on the auction. For most auctions, you must pick up your items in person at the specified location. If shipping is offered, this information will be given on the auction details page by clicking on the “i” (when on mobile) or “auction details” (when on a laptop). If shipping is available, wrapping, strapping and packaging fees will apply. All items are shipped FOB Dock.
Is labor available to assist with loading?
Bidders are responsible for providing their own labor and removal. Please plan your pick-up and bring proper equipment and assistance to help with you loading. Industrial auctions may require professional rigging. Auctions where there is a fork lift on site, the bidders will be required to sign a “release” for damage to property and pay a lift fee. Professional providers may be required for refrigeration, ventilations systems or other related assets.
Can I buy it now?
Once the auction begins participating in the auction and becoming the highest bidder is the best way claim an item. Once you register, we will help you remember to bid. GRS Auctions will send out reminders through email, text and app notices prior to each auction closing. It also helps to set an alarm.
